The University of Zakho Honors Kurdish Writers for their Remarkable Role in Enriching Kurdish Language and Culture

In the presence of the President, Dr. Nadhim S. Jacksi, the Dean of the College of Humanities, Dr. Fakhir, and distinguished university academic members, the Zakho Center for Kurdish Studies celebrates International Mother Language Day on February 22, 2024.

On this occasion, an authorial tribute was paid to esteemed Bahdinan Kurdish writers who have been impacting Kurdish literature, history, education, culture, and society. This event was dedicated to honoring and celebrating their literary contributions, achievements, influence, and legacy.

The honored authors are:
